Pastor Edward A. Engelbrecht

Edward A. Engelbrecht has served Emmanuel since December, 2016. “Pastor Ed” grew up on a dairy farm in upstate New York. He married Susan in 1991 and they have four children together, a son and daughters in-laws, and now grandchildren!

Pastor studied theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO (MDiv, STM). He is an ordained and rostered minister in The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, for which he developed The Lutheran Study Bible and other publications. He is an award winning writer and editor.

In 1998 Pastor Ed served as a guest lecturer on Church History at the University of Klaipeda, Lithuania. In October 2016 he lectured on New Testament Studies at Lutheran Theological Seminary in Pretoria, South Africa. Pastor Floyd L. Stolzenburg

Pastor Emeritus Floyd L. Stolzenburg has served Emmanuel since 1992. A Columbus native, he is married to Jane and has four children and six grandchildren. Pastor graduated from Bexley schools where his father was a principal. He graduated from Capital University, Concordia Seminary, Springfield, IL, and pursued graduate studies at University of Missouri-St. Louis and St. Louis University.

Pastor Stolzenburg retired from full time service at Emmanuel in 2017. However, he continues to lead congregtional services when Pastor Ed is out of town. He teaches Bible Studies and organizes the Emmanuel Travelers small group ministry. Pastor Stolzenburg also preaches weekly at Lutheran Social Services' Kensington Place, Columbus, OH.

Additional Staff

Musicians

Susie Singer and Liza Wierslee serve as organists; Audrey Gordon serves as choir accompianist. Gregg Brandt is choir director. Cathy Brown directs the bell choir. Alvie Bailey and Pastor Ed serve as guitarists. Emmanuel's services include traditional liturgy, classic and contemporary hymns, as well as anthems.

Custodian

Sherry Huffman maintains Emmanuel's facilities, with the support of the trustees, and also acquires and displays our altar flowers and special floral arrangements for worship. She likewise works with volunteers for Sunday morning services.

Church Secretary
